Who attends Firehouse World?
Firehouse World is one of the largest fire and rescue trade shows in North America. Attendees include fire service professionals on every level from fire departments, to third party agencies.
What are the dates and hours for Firehouse World?
Firehouse World 2015 will be held January 25 - 29, at the San Diego Convention Center. The exhibit hall hours are:
Tuesday, Jan. 27| Noon - 5:00pm
Wednesday, Jan. 28| 9:00am - 3:00pm
The Preconference Sessions offer several classes on: Monday, Jan. 26 | 8:00am - 5:00pm
The conference program runs from Tuesday, Jan. 27 thru Thursday, Jan. 29. Can I attend for a single day? Yes, Firehouse World is set up so you can attend the sessions that meet your needs. You can sign up any preconference session, and/or 1, 2 or 3 day conference sessions. See the conference pricing page for more information. Are any other meetings co-located with Firehouse World? Yes, a variety of state agencies and organizations will be holding meetings in conjunction with Firehouse World. Does Firehouse World offer certificates of attendance? Yes, Firehouse World offers certificates of attendance for attending any of the 90 minute sessions. With over 100 conference sessions, Firehouse World offers innovative and dynamic education at a price that works for any budget. Our goal is simple: make superior education and learning accessible and affordable to the greatest number of fire service providers. Flexibility is the key to attending Firehouse World. Attend the core program and you can either focus on a specific area of interest, or mix and match from seven educational tracks to create your own personalized program. How do I get Certificate of Attendance? Certificates of Attendance are available after the show via our website approximately 3 weeks after the show at Firehouseworld.com. You will also receive an email when your certificate is ready to be downloaded. At the show, you will need to scan your badge as you enter each conference session you attend. What's included with my registration? Conference: registration for the full conference includes admittance into the exhibit hall.
Exhibit: admittance to the exhibit hall, speakers showcase and mechanics clinic. Should I pre-register? We strongly recommend you pre-register to save time and money. It is also important because some conferences have a limit on participants. On-site registration is available, but the fastest and easiest way to register is online at FirehouseWorld.com. Don't forget - register early and save money! Are there group registration discounts? Yes - For example bring a group and save on the 3-day conference program! Register 3-5 people before January 5 and pay $350. Register 6 or more before January 5 and pay $325 each. Do I have to sign up for classes in order to visit the Exhibit Hall? No, entrance to the Exhibit Hall is $20 when purchased prior to January 5 or $25 after that date, including on-site purchases. You will, however, have to register for an Exhibit Hall badge in order to gain admittance into the Exhibit Hall. This can be done either online prior to or during the show, or on-site. Can I bring a companion or my family? Yes, you may bring a companion or family with you into the exhibit hall. They will need to register and pay for any exhibit hall or conference sessions they wish to attend. All children 16 years of age and under are admitted free to the exhibit hall. An adult must accompany children at all times. Children are not allowed in any of the conference sessions. Where do I pick up my badge or if I have not yet registered can I register at the show? The onsite registration area, where you pick up your badge and register for the show, is located in the lobby in front of the Exhibit Hall at the San Diego Convention Center.
All pre registered attendees will receive and email confirmation with registration hours and instructions. How early do I need to reserve my room? We suggest you book early to receive the best rates. For assistance with your housing, contact our official housing partner, onPeak. They provide reduced hotel rates and travel discounts for your trip to San Diego. +1 (312) 527 7300 - Int'l Should I rent a car? Whether you love music, fine dining or sports, endless entertainment options are within walking distance of the San Diego Convention Center. However, if you are driving in or wish to rent a car, parking is available at the center.
Parking Information Is there a shuttle to and from the airport? If you are arriving by plane or train the San Diego Convention Center is located 3 miles from San Diego International Airport and less than one mile from the Amtrak Station. The San Diego Trolley has two stops directly in front of the Center at Harbor Drive/First Avenue and Harbor Drive/Fifth Avenue. What should I wear? We want attendees to feel comfortable during the Firehouse World. Casual attire or uniforms is typically worn. However, your company may have policies on attire worn when representing your organization. What kind of weather should I expect? Click here: www.meetmeinsandiego.com/fw What is the refund/cancellation policy? If written notice is received by January 12th the registration fees will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. After January 12th cancellations are non-refundable. Substitutions can be made at anytime. Class offerings are subject to change. In the event the class you registered for is no longer offered, your registration will be transferred to another class of your choosing, provided space is available. If a suitable class is not available, your registration fees may be refunded or credited to the following year, however Cygnus Business Media will not be liable for any ancillary or related costs, including, but not limited to, hotel and airline charges or cancellation fees. We will make every effort to adapt to training-site conditions and circumstances.
